No Pain, No Gain........

Well it's Friday afternoon, two days after treatment and I made it through the work day :)  The bone pain started this morning and got worse as the day went on but I made it!!!!  Now I'm ready for my yummy narcotic, heating pad and a Pizza Hut pepperoni pizza, lol.  Taxol may cause pain but I'm not nauseated AT ALL, praise the Lord.  I've gained 10 lbs since starting chemotherapy, good grief.  I feel a diet coming on after this is all over.

I feel so blessed today.  I have so many people who truly care about me.  I have the best work family who look after me and encourage me every day.  They mean the world to me.

Only 2 more treatments to go, I can't believe it.  Wow, this has been such a life changing event and not in a bad way.  I've met so many wonderful people as a result of my cancer and have a complete different appreciation of life, family and friends.  So, a little bone pain will NOT get me down...... No pain, no gain...and I have a lot to gain.  I have already won this battle, I'm claiming it right now!!!!

Wishing everyone a wonderful, restful weekend.  I'm looking forward to Spring Break next week and a few days in Hot Springs with great friends.  Life is GREAT, thank you Jesus.

  1. You go, girl!!!! Personally, I can't believe you are working. There is no possible way I could have worked. Don't gain too much weight --- the dosage is decided by your weight!!!! Since at the time I was VERY MUCH overweight, my oncologist told me I had to have triple the amount normally given and it would be very hard. I'm still working at getting the weight off. I was never so sorry that I had gained all that! There's a price to pay! Good to hear that you have a break coming. Great timing, too, as you can rest up before the next one. Always praying!!!!! Have a great weekend!

  4. Wow it's almost over and I know you will be happy about that. You are determined young lady to have gone through so much. There is no doubt you have been in God's hands. You know, he truly is a wonderful loving God. I have loved your spirit throughout this, so not much longer and hang in there.

  5. On Friday evening (after my 4th chemo) I felt a small amount of bone pain in my lower legs and ankles, and I'm not even taking the same chemo as you. It almost drove me to tears, so I can only imagine how awful it must be for you. And yes, isn't it wonderful that you can have this week to relax? What a blessing! What happens after you finish with the chemo? Do you have to have any radiation? -Megan-

  7. I'm looking at the calendar and wondering how you are doing, girl! I think a lot about you and pray a LOT, too! I know how each chemo can make you go down just a little further than the one before, and I can't wait for you to tell us that it's all over with and done!!! Just letting you know that I'm thinking of you today and hoping tht this weekend will be a good one for you!
